On October 1, a match in the 2nd round of the 2025/26 Champions League group stage will take place at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona, Spain. Local side “Barcelona” will host French club “Paris Saint-Germain”.
Schedule (Group Stage) | Standings
In the opening round, the “Blaugrana” earned an away win over “Newcastle” (2:1). Marcus Rashford scored a brace. A hard-fought victory for Hansi Flick’s team.
Paris began their title defense with a 4-0 home rout of Italian side “Atalanta” (4:0). For the “red and blue” side, Marquinhos, Kvaratskhelia, Mendes, and Ramos all found the net. Luis Enrique’s team confirmed its exceptional class. Recall that a week earlier, the Spaniard was named the best coach of the 2024/25 season. And who would say he didn’t deserve it… The genuine charisma of “Lucho” is especially compelling.
