On December 7, at the winter stadium track “Swedish National Biathlon Arena” in Östersund, Sweden, where the 1st stage of the 2025/26 Biathlon World Cup is nearing its conclusion, the men’s 12.5 km pursuit race will take place.
Overall standings | 2025/26 season calendar
The sensational Norwegian Johan-Olav Botn will lead off the pursuit. Johan-Olav won the first two races (individual, sprint) and currently leads the overall standings comfortably.
After the sprint, Botn had an 11-second lead over compatriot Martin Uldal. Fourteen seconds later, the highly experienced Frenchman Quentin Fillon Maillet will set off. Quentin is gradually improving and will try to challenge the “overconfident” Norwegians.
The biathletes listed above are the main favorites for the upcoming pursuit.
