On May 30, a boxing evening by “RCC Boxing Promotions” promoter German Titov will take place at the “UMMC Arena” in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
The main event of the evening will be a fight for the WBA and IBF light heavyweight world titles (up to 79.4 kg). The reigning champion, Kyrgyz-Russian boxer Dmitry Bivol, will face German challenger Michael Eifert.
This will be Dmitry’s first title defense since winning the belts in his rematch with Artur Beterbiev. As a reminder, last February Bivol won the rematch by split decision.
As for the challenger, Michael is “no world-beater,” but he is the official IBF challenger. He earned challenger status after defeating the once-formidable Canadian Jean Pascal in March 2023.
The German boxer had his last fight in August 2024, when he scored a stoppage win over Venezuelan Carlos Eduardo Jimenez.
Frankly, the upcoming fight looks like a mismatch for Bivol. It’s hard to see how Eifert plans to put up a fight against the champion.
Professional record: Dmitry Bivol (24-1, 12 KO) – Michael Eifert (13-1, 5 KO)
That same evening, we will also see Uzbek talent Muhammad Shekhov in action. Shekhov will compete in a WBA title eliminator at super bantamweight (up to 55.3 kg) against Venezuelan boxer Erni Betancourt.
Professional record: Muhammad Shekhov (17-0-1, 4 KO) – Erni Betancourt (27-2, 21 KO)
Watch this title fight and the rest of the fight card live on the streaming service: “DAZN“.
The broadcast of the championship fight between Dmitry Bivol and Michael Eifert begins at around 22:00 (Eastern European Time UTC+3).
