On the night of March 7–8, a second-round women’s singles match will take place on “Stadium 2” court in Indian Wells (USA), where the WTA-1000 series tournament «BNP Paribas Open-2026» is underway.
“Ukrainian ace” Elina Svitolina will face veteran German player Laura Siegemund. Elina is ranked 9th in the world. Laura occupies 55th place in the WTA rankings. The head-to-head record (1-0) favors the Ukrainian tennis player. Their only match took place at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where Elina won in 3 sets (6:3, 5:7, 6:4). Recall that Elina finished that Olympic tournament with a bronze medal.
