On February 26, the second day of the ranking tournament in freestyle, women’s and Greco-Roman wrestling will take place on the mats at “Feti Borova Venue” in Tirana, Albania: “Muhamet Malo-2026.”
Today, the freestyle wrestlers will compete in the remaining weight categories — up to 79, 92, 97 and 125 kg — along with the women in the up to 50 and 55 kg divisions.
We will see Olympic champions and world and European championship winners on the mats in Albania.
The most anticipated event could be a showdown between Abdulrashid Sadulaev and Kyle Snyder (up to 97 kg). The Olympic champions are on opposite sides of the bracket and could meet in the final. Standing in the Russian wrestler’s way is ambitious Kazakh wrestler and 2023 world champion Rizabek Aitmukhan.
The leading favorite in the super-heavyweight division (up to 125 kg) is Azerbaijani wrestler Giorgi Meshvildishvili, a medalist at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and reigning European champion.
