On January 23, at the Stozice Arena in Ljubljana (Slovenia), venue for the 13th European Futsal Championship, also known as the 2026 European Mini-Football Championship, the first-round match in Group C will take place.
Belarus will face Belgium. Futsal teams from Spain and Slovenia are also competing for places in the quarter-finals (1/4 finals) in this group.
Qualifying for the final tournament is already an achievement for both teams. For example, they failed to qualify for the previous Euro 2022.
Standings | Schedule and results
Belarus is competing in the current tournament under the leadership of Alexander Chernik. Belgium is coached by Karim Bachar.
The teams are the underdogs in the group, and their head-to-head meeting will largely determine their chances of reaching the playoffs. There is still a chance to get a result against Slovenia, but taking points off Spain will be practically impossible.
