On January 28, at the Jyske Bank Boxen arena in Herning, Denmark, which is hosting the 2026 European Men’s Handball Championship, a main round group match will take place.
In the 5th and final round of Group I, Germany will face France. The Germans are the 2024 Olympic silver medalists. The French are the reigning continental champions.
At the moment, Denmark lead the group with 6 points. The German handball players have the same number, while the French have two fewer (4). The Danes are highly likely to beat Norway, settling all questions about qualification for the semifinals.
The second spot will apparently be contested by Germany and France.
