On February 14, a group-stage match will take place at the “Santa Giulia Arena” ice rink in Milan, where the Olympic ice hockey tournament is currently underway.
In Round 2 of Group C, the United States national team will face Denmark.
The “Stars and Stripes” got off to a strong start with a big win over Latvia (5:1). Brock Nelson scored twice. Star captain of the “Toronto Maple Leafs” Auston Matthews also found the net.
Denmark began its tournament campaign with a defeat to Germany (1:3). Oscar Mølgaard scored the only goal for the “Danish Lions.”
The Americans are overwhelming favorites for the upcoming game. Thanks to a decision by the NHL leadership, Mike Sullivan has all of his top stars at his disposal. With a roster like this, only gold will satisfy the North American team.
