On February 9, ice dance gets underway at the “Milano Ice Skating Arena” in Milan, Italy, where the Olympic figure skating competition is currently taking place.
The most artistic and captivating discipline of the program.
The main favorites in the rhythm dance, as well as the free dance, are the U.S. duo of Madison Chock and Evan Bates.
Madison and Evan won gold at the 2025 World Championships, finishing well ahead of Canadians Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier.
Also worth mentioning are the newly crowned European champions in Sheffield, French duo Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Guillaume Cizeron. The latter was the 2022 Beijing Olympic champion. However, his partner at the previous Games was Gabriella Papadakis.
The aforementioned North American duos are highly likely to battle for gold at these Olympic Games.
