On February 15, the men’s 4 x 7.5 km relay will take place at the “Tesero Cross-Country Skiing Stadium” in Val di Fiemme, where the 2026 Olympic cross-country skiing tournament is underway.
A total of 10 teams will battle for a place on the Olympic podium. As a reminder, skiers will race the first two legs in the classic style, followed by the free technique, or skating style.
The main favorite in the upcoming race is the Norwegian team. The “Norwegians’” coaching staff has selected the following lineup: Emil Iversen will lead off, Martin Løwstrøm Nyenget will ski the second leg, followed by Einar Hedegart, with “legendary” Johannes Høsflot Klæbo anchoring the team. Klæbo won all three previous races, bringing his Olympic gold medal tally to 8. Today, he has an excellent chance to set a new record and claim his 9th gold.
Unless something extraordinary happens, the Norwegians should win. It’s hard not to recall yesterday’s women’s relay, where Sweden were tipped for victory, but Ebba Andersson broke a ski when she fell, and the gold medals ultimately went to Norway.
