On February 15, at the “Anterselva Biathlon Arena” stadium in Antholz-Anterselva, Italy, where the 2026 Olympic biathlon tournament is underway, the women’s 10 km pursuit will take place.
Recall that the pursuit features the 60 top biathletes based on the results of yesterday’s sprint.
Leading the pursuit will be 22-year-old Norwegian Maren Kirkeeide. Maren finished just under 4 seconds ahead of ambitious Frenchwoman Océane Michelon.
Rounding out the top three is the current overall standings leader, another French cross-country skier who also competes in biathlon — Lou Jeanmonnot. Lou missed a shot in the standing stage and finished 24 seconds behind Maren. This is already Jeanmonnot’s second individual medal at these Games. There is no doubt she will do everything possible to win gold today.
The biathletes mentioned above have excellent chances of battling for the podium.
